One of those days where nothing went right

Finally i`m able to find some time to blog....
The afternoon visit went extremely well with my two sisters...
We caught up on some lost time and are going to get back to visiting each other regularly....
Yesterday was an absolute nightmare...
The type of day where I should have stayed in bed because whatever could go wrong did...
The kids were late for school which made me late for doctors appointments for Matt....
I ran over a bird and I always feel dreadful when I do something like that...I try to avoid at all times but no not yesterday....
Then I receive a phone call from the school...
Daniel has receieved a formal warning about his behaviour in the school yard....
To top it off he earnt himself a dentention (which I am not happy about)...
I thought "What else could go wrong"????
Then by the time I was ready to sit down for the evening and enjoy a nice cuppa whilst watching tv all pandemonium hit...
The coffee ended up all over me...
Mainly my arm....
The poor kids wondered what had happened as this mad woman ran through the house to the bathroom screaming....
I couldn`t get my top off quick enough and place my arm under the cold water...
I perservered with it for an hour and the pain wasn`t subsiding so I asked Matt to take me to the doctors....
We got there just in time as the duty nurse was about to leave....
I was seen too straight away and was told I did the right thing..
I must have looked a sight walking into the doctors as I had my arm fully submerged in an icecream container full of water....
So now I have a clear bandage on it and after visiting the doctors this morning again he says it`s looking quite good...
I have to go back Thursday for a dressing change....
Matt gave me a sleeping tablet last night and I say it was the best damn sleep i`ve had in ages....Felt nothing and don`t even remember hitting the pillow....
This is what it looked like lastnight..Very red and extremely painful Today...Still sore but not as much as last night.... So now i`m very careful as to where I drink my coffee.... Much better to drink it than wear it...

  7. Hi Jo-anne..
I don`t take sleeping tablets too often but Matt knew I wouldn`t get much sleep without one....Thankfully slept like a baby...
I`m hoping also that it heals alright too....

  9. Oh! Mandy that looks awfully painful, you poor thing. You are certainly having an adventurous life these days. Good Idea the sleeping pill, you needed some real rest from all your problems. Hope things start improving soon.
Is it possible to have a calm quiet friendly chat with Daniel to find out what is bothering him at school.

  10. Hi Diane...Adventures like this I can do without....
I have tried talking with Daniel about school...He says he likes it ect so now i`m wondering if the teachers have a low tollerance in the classroom....His detention was for talking...Another kid got one because of sharpening a pencil would you believe...I am starting to think that they are gun happy with the detentions....
I will give him another term at the school and see how he progresses...

  11. For goodness sake Mandy, that is not good what you did to yourself. Hope that blister doesn't break until the skin underneath heals. Good luck with it, and yes some days just do not go right!
