Killing off the old ones first

Isn`t this flower so delicate...
A bit like me in the way i`ve been feeling of late..
I bought it (fushia) to cheer me up as these school holidays have certainly worn me down...
And omg we are only into the first week of it....
The whole house is sick thanks to one child bringing home a cold...
You see we don`t just get the common old cold, we get everything else as well...
Tonsilitis and bronchitis....
So of course everyone is feeling rather moody especially me as being mum there is no way you`re allowed to rest and put your feet up so you can recouperate...
I mangaged to make a big pot of chicken and sweetcorn soup yesterday and the whole pot was eaten by the kids...
Hubby and I managed to get a bowl in before it was devoured....
We did receive some good news earlier this week...
Firstly no more trips back to the doctor for me in regards to my arm...All better now which i`m happy about...
I have a lovely shade of bright pink on my arm and i`m told I must stay out of the sun for quite some time as it will be very tender...
Lots of moisturiser too into the burnt area....
Thankfully we are heading into the cooler months so wearing long sleeves won`t be such a burden...
And finally after what feels like a year (which i`m sure it is close too) hubby has an appointment with the surgeon to find out what`s going on in the bowel region...
Naturally he is concerned and worried as it has taken so long to actually get the appointment...He feels that it may be too late to fix any underlying problems...
But once again i`m staying positive for him...
No use worrying about something until you have the facts is my motto....
That`s the news for now...
Do hope everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable Easter....
Me I ate way too much chocolate....
But it tasted bloody brilliant...lol

  2. Hey Mandy, don't hog all the germs! (not that I want them). Glad Matt has an appointment at last you have both been waiting the whole time I've known you. Hopefully it will be the beginning of healing for Matt. Hmm chocolate, I am out of elegant rabbits and down to solid eggs (minis) I want my elegant rabbits, they are the fave (Hence they get eaten first). Well if that's all I have to moan about I am doing very well, we should all be so lucky.
xxx Good luck at Matt's appointment.

  4. Hi Mandy
For once we are not sick YaY.
I fixed my blog today so others can comment.
I have been spending a lot of money on xbox360 games. I have decided to help out EBgames in our town now that australia is in depreshion. I didn't belive it was but all this week the news is saying about 600 people are put out of work daily. The last thing we want is for our game shop to go belly up. I put two game photos on my blog. It's so much easyer to blog now that I can post comments by the use of email. Bye Bye friend.

  5. I hope you all recover very soon. Hope Matt's out come is positive. Pleased to read your arm is better, and you wouldn't think a hot drink when spilt could cause so much of a probem!
