Missing my boys

These past few days i`ve actually been feeling a little lost, not knowing what to do with myself....
Hubby has been at his brothers place organising nursing homes and finalising all releveant paper work regarding his mothers welfare..
I miss not having him here...
And I don`t think I can handle any more nights having Daniel in my bed....
The kicks to the head of a night can be more than over brearing...lol
He should be home tomorrow, fingers crossed....
Then of course there is Joshua....
I miss him also....
Even though he was off the rails i`m still his mother and I worry about him...He is never far from my thoughts....
Funnily enough I have spoken to him more since he has been away than when he was living under our roof...
I have thrown myself into the house...
Getting ready for new furniture to be brought in....
It`s been roughly 10 years since upgrading Daniels room and now that he is 11 it`s time to make it more of a "big boys "room.....
So new everything is in order....
It`s quite amazing what you find cleaning out cupboards ....
Keepsakes from when he was a baby....
Brought back many fond memories...
Why do they have to grow up so quickly????

  2. Morning Mandy. To think in no time this too will have passed and your household will become 'normal' again and you will likely be missing the peace and quiet.
Bet Daniel is excited about the prospect of new furniture and a re-vamp.
Do hope that you are well. More rain coming down the coast so we could be in for it yet again.

  5. You sound at a loose end there Mandy. Still, some new furniture and redorating will do the trick I'm sure.

Old photos make me feel melancholy as well. I've just got a HUGE box of images from 2001 down from the top of the cupboard - Jez was tiny (as well as the dog!), our lovely old home in Perth was being "renovated", the Twin Towers were still standing in our holiday snaps. These were probably the saddest photos of all.

I hope that you're boys will be back driving you happily "insane" again soon!
