Thank goodness the weekend is here

Good evening all...It`s been quite a week....Sick kids , sick husband and a missing cat which still hasn`t come home....And I don`t think he will be now...

We`ve had so much rain over the last week and my yard looks like an over grown jungle....I have this fettish where I don`t like letting the lawn get too out of hand and it`s depressing looking at it so I`ve tried not to peek my head out the back door...lol...

Looking forward to tomorrow as Krystal and I are going to have a girls day out...She wants to take me out for lunch and just do girlie things like SHOPPING....I must admit I do like to do this and it gives us time to have a mum daughter chat....Now that she is getting older it`s great having the female company....We can talk about anything together and we both understand each other really well....In reality we are more good friends but she knows not to push me too far or the mother kicks back in...lol

I`m still trying to master this new computer system I have....I`ve got Microsoft Outlook 2007 installed and it`s a totally different ball game altogether....I`m getting lost....Not hard for me lately...lol...I`m sure once I play around a bit with it i`ll master it but it is very daunting like anything is when it`s new....

Well I hope you all have a lovely weekend...Let`s hope this one doesn`t fly by too quickly...Take care and stay safe.....

  6. Hello Mandy,
Sound good going shopping with your daughter - you have a great time -
It's also wonderful to read that you get on so well with her, many mother's would kill to be like you two.

Daylight saving and spring seems to make people tired.

No rain here, but some forecast and we need it.

    Take care,
    Margaret

Hello Mandy, Girls time I can relate to that, I miss my daughter we used to do a lot of that but Carly wants me to go shopping with her one Saturday afternoon or Sunday and leave Lou & Clinton at the pub...I am into that but will do it closer to Christmas......I love shopping around Christmas.LOL

  8. Hi Mandy,

As you know I have a Father and Son day once a month with my son Mark and it's always a great time. I wish I could do the same with my daughter but me living in Sydney and she living in Darwin makes it a little difficult.

I am fortunate that my kids have always considered me as someone that they can share their dreams and problems with. What more could any parent want.

Enjoy the day....I'm sure you will.

    Cheers

    Rudy

I hope you do get some rain soon...There seems to be plenty of it around at the moment and I hope it`s going to the places that needs it the most...

  12. Hello Rudy....
I`m so glad that i am able to be close with my kids...It`s nothing like when I was growing up...I was always too scared to talk to my mum about anything...I did make sure that I would be nothing like her when it came to my kids...lol...Change the cycle as they say...
    Have a great weekend

  15. Hi Mandy,
Hope you had a good weekend. I have always been close to my kids and been able to have good conversations with them as I was a 'captive audience' as they used to say. I had no housework or anything to do but time to listen and be with them. TAD still spend a great deal of time talking to me or her father. It is really nice to have that closeness. Krystal sounds like a wounderful caring loving ;woman'- well look at her influence- her mother!!!
    Hugs and rainbows
