I had a great day out and busy busy busy today

Finally the rain has stopped
I was able to get outside and do those jobs that I have been itching to do...
Firstly it was to pull the canvas off and stitch it back together...
Sewing was the easy part...
Trying to figure out how to set the sewing machine up was the hard part...
I always manage to have trouble with that bobbin thingy underneath and after an hour of perservering I succeeded...lol
Damn who said sewing was easy...hahaha
Caught up with the washing finally , all washed dried and put away...
This girl has worked out on how not to iron...One less job to worry about...lol
Then it was onto the lawns...
OMG i`m going to kill that lawnmower before it kills me....
I get it started ok and it`ll run for about 30 seconds then it`ll konk out on me...
Took me twice as long to mow just the back lawn...I still have the front to do but i`m going to leave that for tomorrow...
Krystal and I had a wonderful day out together on Saturday and I`m going to try to at least go out with her on a monthly basis...It did me the world of good and she enjoyed it too...
I spoilt myself by buying 2 summer dresses which only cost me $12 each...
Bought a few things for the home and of course a bag of lollies for Daniel because he was a good boy for his dad...
Well i`m in the process of making tea...Just cold chicken and salad tonight...The diet is still going to plan Tamaris...
Hope you managed to be a good girl too...lol
Hope you all had a lovely weekend....
I`ll do the rounds after finishing off tea....
By the way I don`t think Bigblog is getting much activity these days....Very quiet over there....Any wonder...Most are here...lol...
Bye

  3. Hello Yevisha...
I`m starting to feel the affects of my busy day plus I think the lack of food i`m used too...lol...Hope the lawn mowing went well..I remember using one of those push mowers and when the lawn starts to get a little high and thick it can certainly work up a sweat...lol...

  5. Hello Mandy, Bloody lawn mowers that what I have to say....I do remember those days when Lou worked night shift and away and I had to mow the lawns and all I have to say again is bloody lawn mowers.

Sewing it took you that long to work out the bobbin thingy, it would of taken me longer to threat the needle.

Glad you and Krystal had a good day and yes you should do it more often. Mother and daughter bonding is good until they get a boyfriend.

Hope all is good on the home front.

    Love always and take care.

  6. Hello Mandy,

Well you have been very busy.
Glad you have mastered that sewing machine, now you can whip up a storm with it.

Good to hear you and Krystal have a beaut day out together and new clothes.

Hope you get that lawnmower going for longer, they are stupid things sometimes, yet they cut the grass which is the good thing.

I haven't done a great deal on BB due to it being so slow still as we know.

    Take care,
    Margaret

  7. Hi Mandy,

    Wow, you had a busy day....I'm exhausted..hehehehe.

Great to hear that you and Krystal has such a great day. My son Mark and I always love our days together.

When I tried to mow my lawn a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't start. I went to the garage and bought a new spark plug...it still didn't work so off to the lawn mower repair place I went. A full service and brand new blades and $125 later I was up and mowing the lawns again a few days later. Green concrete is starting to sound really tempting to me...hehehehe

    Have a great day

    Rudy

  10. Hello Rudy.....
I did enjoy our day out...It was nice not having to run around after my youngest and we could just stroll around at our own pace...Look at what we wanted and be stress free....lol..
Don`t I know about the concrete lawn...I have been tempted many a time...lol...
It`s not cheap to have a lawnmower repaired and they are so basic....A bit like a vet isn`t it....Charge like a wounded bull....lol...
