What happened to perfect one day and beautiful the next

The kids arrived safely to Queensland with the most glorious of weather...Rain, wind and humidity...lol....Krystal threw up in the bag provided thankfully on landing...She didn`t like it at all and she has another two plane rides to go....Hopefully it was just nerves and not knowing what to expect....

She rang me this morning and apparently they had a fancy meal at some resturant near the mariner with all the big boats....$50 ahead so i`m told and she said the meal was nice...It would want to be at that price....

After tea they had a spa which is in the room and omg they have wrecked the spa...They woke this morning to find one of the tiles had broken in the bottom of it and all the water had drained out....They rang room service and now they have been upgraded into a more expensive part of the motel....Apparently there has been little maintenance done on the spas and hence the water draining out....At least they got an upgrade...lol...

Tomorrow is Water world I think....The father had the travel company fax through the paper work that he needed for the entry to the worlds...

Krystal said it absolutely poured this morning but it hasn`t deterred her...Shopping is on the agenda....Ahhhh i`ve trained her well....hahaha

The kids are off to Queensland today

Yesterday we did have a little rain ...Not enough to soak the garden though but it was lovely to wake to that smell of wet ground...It has been lovely and cool these past few days but again heating up later in the week....

This afternoon Joshua and Krystal are heading off to Queensland....Krystal is starting to get apprehensive about going in the plane now....lol....Infact so am I.....I know they`ll be ok though.....They`re packed and ready to go.....

Matt and myself went out last night as this was our last opportunity before the kids go away....We had a fantastic evening spent at a club...Played a few pokie machines and we actually couldn`t lose....First time in history....lol....Matt had a few drinks and was being the clown that he used to be...Naturally I was the serious one ....Someone had to be....hahaha.....And for the first time ever we received NO phone calls....It was funny because I kept checking my phone just to make sure I didn`t miss a call....But nothing....

When we arrived home all was calm.....The two older ones were on the computers and Daniel was playing his game.....It was bliss.....

So one more week now for us to get through then we are off with Daniel for our little getaway on the SE Coast....In a way we`re hoping that the weather holds out to be cool like it is now but i`m not holding my breath....At least we`ll be by the sea.....

Holiday is going ahead

It`s still hot here and today is going to be a scorcher with 41 degrees....

We were meant to leave early this morning to do some shopping but everyone had a bad night trying to sleep....It was a warm evening even though I did keep the air conditioner on....So it looks like we may leave it until this evening...

Matt has been going really well .....He has been up and about everyday since being back home with us and he is inter acting more with the kids these days also....Daniel absolutely loves the attention and hence I think this is why Daniel all of a sudden is behaving better....He hardly has the anger out bursts and the swearing has dropped dramatically....I believe with us going away it will be a great bonding session for Daniel and his dad....Doing the boy stuff like fishing, which i`ll add I love doing also....lol....

One thing I did do was leave the booking of the caravan park a bit late....Geez what was I thinking...It`s been that long with us going away i`m out of touch but we were fortunate enough to get in....Not when I wanted too but it`ll give me a chance to tie up loose ends here and pay those dreaded school fees.....

Stationary has been bought and new uniforms for Daniel....Next on the agenda will be shoes....He has grown so much over the last 6 months that he is now in a small mens....And as you can imagine trying to buy clothes in school colours has been a nightmare....His feet are one shoe size off from mine.....At the rate he is growing he`ll end up being 6 foot....lol....

It`s no wonder parents wrap their kids in cotton wool these days

Hello everyone, i hope you have all been keeping well...

The weather still hasn`t changed any and basically i`ve

just been sitting in front of the air conditioner and watching the cricket...

C`MON AUSSIE`S

We did have a bit of action last night which I could have done without..

I was minding my own business watering the pot plants when I heard a commotion going on at the park...

Both my boy`s were over there at the time talking to a couple of lads that they knew...

Next minute there was a loony chasing after these lads for whatever reason I don`t know....

They took off over the bridge and my two boys started to walk home....

Next minute this crazed person starts after Joshua through no fault of his own....All because he knew these lads the other one thought he would take on Josh...Little did he realise there were a few of the neighbours out watching what was happening...

Joshua started to jog and then this other one started to run after him...My neighbour ran towards him telling him to back off then we heard someone scream

"Watch out he has a knife"...

OMG !!!!!

So everyone who had mobile phones were on to the police straight away...

It didn`t take them long to get here and then we find out that this maniac is actually a drug dealer....

I tell you the neighbourhood has gone down hill....

One street away from us that`s all that live down there...

Drug dealers....

It was just lucky that there were a heap of the neighbours out last night and we all watch out for each others kids as our street is fairly family orientated...

Usually I won`t let the kids out front unless one of us being Matt or myself are out there....

You just don`t know what`s lurking out there....

I`m not sure if they got the guy but the police knew where he lived and everyone gave a good description of what he looked like and what he was wearing....

I tell you the streets just aren`t safe anymore....

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone...

It`s certainly been a hot end and an even hotter start to the year..

These past few days we have basically been trying to stay cool in front of the air conditioner and even that has been struggling with this excessive heat....

All of the kids have been very lethargic today and slept most of the day away....I don`t blame them really...

I refuse to venture outside during the day so most of my outside duties have been done of an evening when the sun has gone down...Not that it has been any cooler as we had a night temperature of 29 degrees...

Hottest it`s been for nearly a century....

I`m glad all the festivities are over with now so we can get some normality back and a bit of a routine...

We are still planning to take off in a couple of weeks for a bit of a holiday...I just hope that the weather will be kind to us and no more of these 40+ degree days....Otherwise it may just be a total waste of time...

I hope you all had a great New Years Eve and let`s hope that 2008 will be a good year for us all...

It`s slow and steady

I do hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas...

I and the family certainly did...

And naturally too much food was on offer but this year i didn`t over indulge...

For those of you who don`t already know things on the home front have taken a turn for the better...

My hubby and I have sorted through some issues and as of Sunday he will be home again...

We know that we still have things to sort through but this time around we are going to be open and honest with each other and naturally deal with the situation straight away instead of stewing and letting things get way out of control...

Life certainly has been wonderful for the two of us this last week...

Taking time out for ourselves for a change ...

Which is something we both should have done some time ago...

You live and learn....

Here we are adults and we still stuff things up...lol..

So now we`re working on a day to day basis and we`re working together...

i`ve had a good heart to heart with the kids and let them know of our intentions and that we want to take time for ourselves once in a while ...

Which means i will want some help from the older two when it comes to hubby and myself wanting to go out on the occasional day or evening when it comes to our youngest...

everyone is willing at this time to do their part so with everyone on board i think we may survive...

Everything is crossed...lol

No not really....

This is what we both want and this was a reality check for the two of us...

The love naturally was still there but neither of us knew it until we were apart...

R.I.P Kirky...You will be sadly missed

I received an email asking about Kirky and her wherabouts....I did a bit of enquiring and yes our beloved Kirky has passed away....

I just recieved this note from a young lady on Yahoo that knew KIRKY...

This is the repost from her I just read:I was just looking at Kirky's site and wanted to let you know that she passed away . Her daughter and law wrote this to our yahoo group. I thought id share it with you.

Lyn Welsh-Kirk, known as 'Kirky' by most of you, fought hard through her illness, but sadly lost the battle last night. She was declared deseased at aproximatly 8.10pm on the 17th of Decenber 2007.

Lyn wassurrounded by friends and family when she passed.We all love her dearly and will miss her so very much!You people in her yahoo groups made her extremely happy!
