Happy New Year everyone...
It`s certainly been a hot end and an even hotter start to the year..
These past few days we have basically been trying to stay cool in front of the air conditioner and even that has been struggling with this excessive heat....
All of the kids have been very lethargic today and slept most of the day away....I don`t blame them really...
I refuse to venture outside during the day so most of my outside duties have been done of an evening when the sun has gone down...Not that it has been any cooler as we had a night temperature of 29 degrees...
Hottest it`s been for nearly a century....
I`m glad all the festivities are over with now so we can get some normality back and a bit of a routine...
We are still planning to take off in a couple of weeks for a bit of a holiday...I just hope that the weather will be kind to us and no more of these 40+ degree days....Otherwise it may just be a total waste of time...
I hope you all had a great New Years Eve and let`s hope that 2008 will be a good year for us all...

ReplyDeleteDon't tell me that you've been mowing your lawn at midnight again...LOL. I thought that it was supposed to be cooler down south. Maybe Helen and I should forget about moving down there in a couple of years time. It looks like the weather has been turned upside down doesn't it.

Well, we had a freezing xmas, doonas and all. (far North Coast NSW. then we had rain and gales AND the beaches have been washed away and all New Year's fireworks cancelled. weird weather indeed
ReplyDeleteYes..it was a cool christmas here..north of sydney..but is starting to warm up..if it is the same as last year..everytime all you guys in SA said it was hot ..in a few days it reached us..drats!!

Yes we had a cool day for Christmas also and it was nice.
ReplyDeleteMy parents left the next day for a trip away and have been having really hot weather while travelling.
