Asbestos scare

Over the school holidays Daniel`s school had decided to do some landscaping.... I thought something was up as the work hadn`t been completed ready for the kids return to school.... We soon found out as to why this was... A note came home from school with the explanation and let`s say I was very shocked and concerned.... It seems when they were digging up the lawn in certain parts of the school they came across layers of asbestos buried in the ground.... When I first saw the words asbestos I froze...I`m thinking omg this can kill and here it`s been laying under lawn where kids play...Where my kid plays!!!!! The school has done everything legally and professionally, or so they are telling us but it`s the thought of knowing that they have found this stuff....Stuff that kills.... Apparently all work has stopped especially while the kids are at school ....The affected area has been fenced off and covered..... They have done air monitoring with special devices to make sure that no asbestos is air borne but it still makes me and i`m sure other parents feel uneasy knowing that it`s within our kids school grounds....

Feeling rather stressed

Life has been pretty stressful these last few days.....And it hasn`t been the kids....
Matt`s eldest daughter is getting married at the end of the year and having the ceremony at Hamilton Island....The trouble is that if you don`t get in early to book your flights then basically it`s tough luck....Now I have been saving madly to try and scrape up the money to book the flights but each time I check the airline availability they are fast selling out.....So i`ve told hubby that if he books his and Daniels tickets now , at least they will be able to go....I`ve then said to him i`ll do mine later on in the year, otherwise he won`t go if I don`t go....And personally I couldn`t live with that knowing that he missed his eldest daughters wedding....
I do have a feeling though that the airline seats will sellout but I won`t tell him that until it gets closer....I want him and Daniel to have a good time away even if I can`t make it....

Finally I get to use MY COMPUTER

Finally I have the chance to get on and use MY COMPUTER.....School holidays are nearly over and to be honest this holiday has been extremely tolerable....All the kids have been doing their own thing whether it be on my computer or out and about....Now as the house is empty because one is working and the other has gone away for a few days with his father i`m able to sit down in front of my computer and catch up with things....
Notice how many times I have said MY COMPUTER.....lol....
It just makes me laugh as Krystal has her own and we have another spare one in the house which is a bit slower than the rest, but no they have to use MINE...... Oh well it`s kept them quiet and it has given me a chance to do lots in the garden....The weather has been perfect for it too.....Over the last couple of weeks I have spent so much money on plants and mulch and fertiliser but it will be worth it come spring.....I love flowers and can never have enough of them...My hayfever may disagree but hey I`m willing to put up with the sniffling, sneezing and puffy eyes.... Hope all of you have been well....will catch up and see what you have been all up too...Take care for now.....

Funniest divorce letter ever

Dear Wife:I'm writing you this letter to tell you that I'm leaving you forever. I've been a good man to you for seven years and I have nothing to show for it.These last two weeks have been hell. Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today and that was the last straw. Last week, you came home and didn't even notice that I had a new haircut, had cooked your favorite meal and even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers. You ate in two minutes, and went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps. You don't tell me you love me anymore; you don't want sex or anything that connects us as husband and wife. Either you're cheating on me or you don't love me anymore; whatever the case, I'm gone.Your EX-husbandP.S. Don't try to find me. Your SISTER Carla and I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!
@@@@@@@@@
Dear Ex-Husband -Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It's true that you and I have been married for seven years, although a good man is a far cry from what you've been. I watch my soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining and griping. Too bad that doesn't work.I did notice when you got a hair cut last week, but the first thing that came to mind was 'You look just like a girl!' Since my mother raised me not to say anything if you can't say something nice, I didn't comment. And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork seven years ago.About those new silk boxers: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, and I prayed that it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed fifty dollars from me that morning. After all of this, I still loved you and felt that we could work it out. So when I hit the lot to for ten million dollars, I quit my job and bought us two tickets to Jamaica . But when I got home you were gone. Everything happens for a reason, I guess. I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won't get a dime from me. So take care.Signed,Your Ex-Wife, Rich As Hell and Free!P.S. I don't know if I ever told you this, but my sister Carla was born Carl. I hope that's not a problem.

Oh how life can be such fun

hmmmm....School holidays have started and so has the fun...Honestly sometimes I could scream....I`m the meat in the sandwich again especially when it comes to my older two kids....Let`s say home life could be a whole lot better when it comes to husbands who should understand teenagers....I try to look at the good in people rather than dwelling on their bad points...It all began with a bad report card for school and now things have esculated out of control and naturally i`m the bad one in it all....Oh well , it`s lucky I have broad shoulders and can take things with a pinch of salt.....I know my kids love me and that`s all that counts in my books.....
...................
The battery in our car finally gave up the ghost and of course it had to happen whilst it was just myself and Daniel in the car....I had to ring hubby to come rescue us as there is no way I can jump start the car on my own.....So it was straight down to the battery place and this time we up graded to a more powerful and just a wee bit more expensive battery.....The last one we bought didn`t even last 12 months....Now we have 12 months warranty on the new one....For my sake I hope that`s the last time I get stuck ....Cars!!!!!.....They`re a necessary evil....

Finally starting to feel happy with myself

This is the last week of school then it`s that wonderful time "SCHOOL HOLIDAYS".....I`m sure each year it arrives quicker and faster.....It also means that the birthdays are starting to roll in...It`s never ending....Starting from this month we have birthdays in every month up until October and we have another addition to the family who arrives in July....To be honest I hope this is the last one for a while as I can`t keep up....In May, June, July and August we have 2 in each of those months....Big families are wonderful to have but it costs you a small fortune....It`s not easy on a small income and trying to raise 3 growing kids...Oh well we make do and that`s what counts....
Finally I have broken the size 14 barrier in clothes....Mind you some of the clothes I had were a size 16.....I really did let myself go....I dragged out all my old clothes and to my shock they fit me again...I resisted all that temptation over Easter and it`s finally paying off....Another 6 kilo`s and i`ll be happy....Then it`ll give me a good excuse to have to go clothes shopping....See with us girls any excuse will do....lol...

One Flaw In Women By the time the Lord made woman, He was into his sixth day of working overtime. An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one?" And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers, have a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart -and she will do everything with only two hands." The angel was astounded at the requirements. "Only two hands!? No way! And that's just on the standard model? That's too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish." "But I won't," the Lord protested. "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days." The angel moved closer and touched the woman. "But you have made her so soft, Lord." "She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish." "Will she be able to think?", asked the angel. The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate." The angel then noticed something, and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one." "That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!" "What's the tear for?" the angel asked. The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride." The angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything! Woman is truly amazing." And she is! Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give. HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
