Up bright and early...YAWN

How difficult is it trying to keep a dog away from food????? Hobbles has a trip to the vet today to take care of his manly business and all I seem to have been doing since 6pm last night is follow him every where to make sure he doesn`t sneak in any food....And I can tell you it aint been easy....lol....I knew I should have studied to become a vet in my younger days.....$150 it`s going to cost....

On a different note it seems because our local government changed all the bus routes AGAIN, Joshua has to leave home to catch a bus for school at 7:15am which of course means mum has to get him up at 6:45 am... Then we have Krystal who has to be woken at 7am and then Daniel last but not least 7:30 am.....I hear you say "Why don`t they have their own alarm clocks"?.....Good question but I`m afraid the little bugga`s won`t use them...I`m their alarm clock as i`m one persistent person if they choose to ignore....I remember one morning Krystal chose to ignore me and after the 3rd call out came a glass of water poured on her head....She soon got up out of bed....lol....

My nights viewing was spoilt by the cricket being washed out at the Gabba last night.....Ended up having to watch Bruce Almighty which i`ve seen plenty of times before...Oh well the kids enjoyed it.....How about sharing some of that rain people.....We`re still waiting for ours...

An exciting end to this year

It seems we have a wedding happening at the end of this year...Matt`s eldest daughter has decided to finally set the date and looks like we`ll be saving all our pennies as the wedding will be taking place in HAMILTON ISLAND....

Matt and myself are really looking forward to it...Firstly as it`s been many years since both of us have been interstate and secondly we`ll be looking at it as the honeymoon we never had....

Daniel will be coming with us and the older two have decided to stay at home....

I`m not sure how Matt will cope though as he doesn`t like planes....It bewilders me as he has never flown....lol...But i`m sure after a few drinks he`ll be fine....

So for now it`ll be save , save , save but it will definitely be worth it in the long run....

And the one thing that Matt is proudest of is he will be walking his daughter down the aisle....

Kids home Saturday morning EARLY

The kids arrived in Darwin not liking it one little bit....There wasn`t much for them to do and no kids where they were staying in their age group....They didn`t like the weather much either which I knew would happen...But you can`t tell them can you???....lol....

On the second day there they went crocodiling if there is such a thing...hahaha...Krystal said it was the scariest thing ever....The father got to feed one of the crocs and this one above put on a spectacular show for them....

The kids arrived back early Saturday morning..7 am to be precise and I took some waking as we were trying to catch up on some much needed sleep ourselves....Krystal the poor kid was sick...Conjunctivitis in both eyes....She looked a mess....And to top it off she had a sore throat and runny nose....So off to the doctors at 9am to sit and wait for 2 hours....I looooove going to the doctors NOT!!!!!!!......Her eyes have cleared up slightly now......

She said she missed me terribly....That may have something to do with the phone calls everyday whilst away...lol....She burst into tears when she saw me and didn`t leave my side....After the doctors we spent some quality time together , just the two of us and did the one thing we both enjoying, SHOPPING naturally....lol...4 hours later we were all shopped out....

Joshua didn`t say much...He is the quiet one.....The two of them want to make plans for next year to go back to Queensland...They both loved it and made many new friends from all over the country and some overseas.....So now they have saving on the agenda....Have to see how they go.....Overall Darwin lost out and somehow I don`t think they`ll be going back there in a hurry.....

They`re both off to an all night movie marathon tonight...Making the most of the holidays which are left....Come Tuesday and life should be back to normal.....YAY for school!!!!!

Back to reality (DAMN)

Hi everyone..We made it back safely , tired and extremely worn out yesterday afternoon....The weather was perfect each day and the atmosphere where we stayed was fantastic....It gave Matt and myself plenty of time to talk and think about future plans and where we want to be in 5 years time....My older two will be of the age where they will most likely be out in the big wide world fending for themselves which just leaves Daniel....And if things go to plan and we do what we say we`ll be doing then life should be grand....

Father and son really got into the fishing whilst away even though the fish weren`t biting....It was fun for Daniel and he is certainly turning out to be quite the fisherman...We literally had to drag him away....lol...I must admit Daniel did wear me out...He was on the go non stop wanting to do this that and the other....So much for a laid back approach....Of an evening he would pass out early...Wish Matt and I could have said the same...The mattress we had on our bed was let`s say very uncomfortable...I certainly felt my age the next morning trying to get up...hahaha

We ventured over to Granite Island and saw the fairy penguins...Daniel loved that part...Didn`t fancy the walk there as it is a very long walk...We saw this huge ray going along the edge of the water and even saw a seal playing in the water....

Naturally had to take a picture of the famous horse drawn tram...Couldn`t get over how much the township had changed...It`s huge...People everywhere and lot`s to see....It was the holiday that we needed, just wish we had more time there but maybe next time....All that`s left now is having to recouperate...lol....Oh and counting down the days for when the kids go back to school...YAY!!!!!!....

Busy , busy, busy

The kids have spent their last night in Queensland and ready to take off at 4am tomorrow morning to go to Darwin....They just lazed around the pool at the motel today and did venture down to the local beach....Krystal said there were alot of rips in the water..Something we aren`t used to here, so she decided to play it safe and head back to calmer waters...THE POOL...lol...

Tomorrow is a busy day for me....SCHOOL FEE DAY....Oh the joys....And both the schools happen to be at opposite ends of town....The later during the day Daniel has a Cams appointment...In between all of that we have to get everything ready and packed to take off early Tuesday morning....

My house has to be in order as I hate coming home to a mess....We`ll be back Friday and I won`t fancy having to clean....Plus the older two are due back 6am Saturday morning....

3 days to go

Krystal has rung me everyday since being away....Really it`s felt like the kids haven`t gone....lol....It tells me i`m loved....

Yesterday they were off to Wet and Wild....They didn`t go Thursday as the father was too tired...He did say the kids could go on their own but Joshua was being a pain...Krystals words not mine...hahaha

I got a half hour phone call on how much of a pain he was and Krystal wished that Daniel was there with her....Yes you heard it first here....She wanted the bigger pain in the butt with her....She reckons at least Daniel would go on the rides with her.....I`m so glad Daniel is useful for something in her eyes...lol....

Daniel has been great since the kids have been away....The kid of old....I t`s amazing when you have no one to argue with how much you change....Now if I could just bottle it and bring it out when needed....He had a friend stay over last night ...Little bugga`s...3 am before they passed out....Overall they were well behaved though....And it`s nice to see Daniel have his own friends rather than trying to compete with the bigger kids....

Well 3 more days and we are off on our little holiday....We`re leaving Tuesday morning and both of us said we are going to be MA and PA KETTLE, take our time and do whatever....Matt is starting to get a wee bit excited over it....That`s all he has talked about for the last few days....Looks like the weather is going to be perfect...Except for the day we come home...37 degrees but that`s ok, we have air conditioning in the car......

Movie world today

I stand corrected....

The kids went to Movie world today and sometimes I think there is only one who is on holiday and having a great time...That`s Krystal....

She went on all the rides that there was to offer , where as Joshua who is like a little old man, who only went on one...lol....

She is such a dare devil and I don`t know where she gets it from as i`m nothing like that...But then again I was in my younger days...hehehehe

The weather is still rain but she said it`s still warm so she hasn`t had to buy a jacket....They are there until Monday and then jetting off to Darwin....

I told her she amazes me....She can go on daredevil rides but when it comes to a plane landing she throws up...lol....

Where they are staying there is a pool which has a bar in the middle of it....Her and Joshua were sitting on the stools provided at the bar drinking COOL DRINKS I hope....

They are off to Wet and Wild tomorrow which i`m sure Krystal will make the most of....At least one is making the most of their time away....

They both had $500 spending money and Joshua has spent some of his money on buying of all things a mobile phone...Nice to see he has his priorities right....And Krystal a Bottle of Kelvin Klien Perfume...Apparently it was half price at $35....Now I know I have taught her well...lol....
